Electrical Panel Upgrades
An electrical panel upgrade improves safety, adds capacity, and prevents nuisance breaker trips—especially when you're adding EV charging, heat pumps, or major appliances. Nexus Electrical Group upgrades panels, replaces outdated equipment, and completes work to code with clean labeling and a clear walkthrough when we're done. Serving Beaverton and nearby Portland-area cities.
EV Charger Installation
Get faster, safer charging at home with a dedicated EV charger installation. We install Level 2 chargers, run new circuits, verify panel capacity, and complete permit-ready work so you can charge overnight with confidence. If your panel needs an upgrade, we'll recommend the right fix—no guesswork. EV charger installer serving Beaverton and the Portland Metro.
Generator Bypass Kit
We install bypass kits that let you safely connect a portable generator to your home's electrical panel during a power outage, eliminating the need for extension cords running through windows and doors. They handle the full process — from sizing the kit to match your generator's capacity to wiring the transfer switch and verifying that backfeed protection is in place so utility workers stay safe on the lines.
Whole-Home Surge Protector
A whole-home surge protector is installed at or near your electrical panel to help redirect excess voltage before it reaches the circuits throughout your home. Nexus Electrical Group installs surge protective devices that are properly matched to your panel, grounding system, and current electrical setup.
Not sure whether your home needs one? We’ll inspect your panel, check your available breaker space, review grounding and bonding, and recommend a clean, code-compliant solution.
Knob & Tube Wire Replacement
Knob and tube is the oldest residential wiring method in the U.S., used from the 1880s through the 1940s, where individual hot and neutral wires are strung through wall cavities on ceramic knobs and tubes with no ground wire and no protective sheathing. It was designed for the minimal electrical loads of that era and lacks the safety features — ground fault protection, arc fault detection, and modern insulation — required by today's electrical code.

“Nexus was a great company to work with. We needed a new electrical panel to be installed very quickly before our upcoming move. “I can’t say enough great things about Nexus Electric and especially Jordan. What seemed like a complicated job—finding a dedicated circuit to my bedroom and installing a brand-new light and ceiling fan where there wasn’t one before, was handled flawlessly. Jordan was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and detail-oriented, and he made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. Not only was the quality of work outstanding, but his professionalism and care really stood out. He took the time to explain everything, made sure the installation was perfect, and left the space spotless. If you’re looking for someone you can truly trust with your electrical work, I highly recommend Nexus Electric and Jordan. Absolutely top-notch experience from start to finish!”

“This was such a great experience. I had called some other businesses to help get my home set up to charge my new EV and felt like a burden, but then I connected with Jeff who was friendly, responsive, honest, and just overall extremely helpful. Their assistant was also engaged in the process to help keep things moving along and I truly have zero notes on how this experience could have been better! They are amazing here and I’d strongly recommend starting with Nexus before choosing anyone else.”
